More on regional differences

As much as I love California, I do prefer Five Guys to In-and-Out Burger.

Closest one is in Carson. We can stop by and give it a whirl on the way down to watch the cars pile up at the port.

Does In and Out have peanut shells everywhere?

No, but Gladstone's does. And it's one of the few places in L.A. where the seagulls are brazen enough to steal the food right off of your plate.

Gladstone's has its own economy (and gravity). One wonders how the busiest restaurant in town (the world?) is doing lately.

Prof. Green, I propose we research this next weekend! Or if you prefer to choose your seafood personally -- Neptune's Net at the County Line.

Hi Richard. I really enjoy your blog (especially recent posts on infrastructure spending and the defense of MBS). But you are dead wrong on this one. I urge you to give In-n-Out another chance, or I can Fedex you a burger from Five Guys to prove that nostalgia may be clouding your judgment.
