I see that the Adminstration's deal on taxes is being characterized as a "compromise"

It is not a compromise.  It is a capitulation.

Thank you! I thought I was nuts for thinking this given the way it's being discussed. It's kind of interesting that the extension of unemployment is seen as a concession from the conservatives.
